How Lily + Luxe Is Unique
One of the biggest differences between Lily + Luxe and other design firms is our practice of using a fully transparent design fee structure. No unclear project parameters or hidden design fees. The result is; clients feel at ease with the project process and we root the company in a foundation of honesty and integrity.
NEW PROJECT RETAINER
Encompasses all design work both on and off site for a new design project. The retainer covers a minimum of 1 hour and maximum of up to 40 hours of work with any additional work to be charged at the hourly rate thereafter. Retainer fees are paid at the signing of the contract and cover work completed within one year.
Encompasses all design work both on and off site. This is defined as, working on location for less than 7 consecutive hours. Minimum fee is one hour and partial time will be prorated in 15 minute increments. Hourly billing is used only after a retainer has been paid and its 40 hours exceeded.
Consisting of a maximum of up to 8 hours of working on location, Monday through Friday, with a 1/2 hour break for lunch. Any additional time will be billed at 1.5x the hourly rate. Travel time does count against this allotment and may incur additional hourly charges. Incidental expenses will be billed to client.

This work includes new construction, additions, remodeling, kitchens, baths and other construction as well as finished interior design furnishing of spaces. Exterior design is not included and will accrue at the regular hourly rate. Flat rates typically apply only to whole house projects and include a daily maximum of 5 hours with a weekly maximum of 20 hours, exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. Any daily or weekly billable hours in excess of the flat rate will accrue at the usual rates. Flat fee rates cover design work until the completion of the design portion of the project at the time that the materials are selected and ordered. If while the project is under construction, site management is required this will accrue at the standard hourly rate. Projects must be completed within one year. Flat rate design fees are paid at the signing of the contract with a balance of 5% due upon completion. Custom flat fees are available upon request. The scope of the project is examined and a tailored flat fee bid is submitted to the client.

LOCAL TRAVEL FEE
The first 30 minutes are free with time thereafter at the standard hourly rate.
LONG DISTANCE TRAVEL FEE
Long distance travel will be billed at a predetermined custom bid rate, on a per trip basis. Cost of travel, plus per diem will be charged in addition to the long distance travel fee.
OVERTIME, HOLIDAY, WEEKEND FEE
This is the charge when an appointment or resource scouting trip exceeds 8 hrs. Any appointment time before 8:00am or after 6:00pm or on a public federal holiday will be charged at 1.5x the standard hourly rate. Should a client request that project work, on or off site be done during one of these times it too may be subject to the overtime rate.
LATE PAYMENT FEE
All payment is requested upon completion of design appointment or receipt of invoice. Payments made after 30 days will be charged a late fee of $50 plus 5% of the outstanding invoice, compounded monthly. Should litigation be required to secure payment, the client will be responsible for all legal fees. Returned checks will be charged a standard fee. All orders will be placed only after payment has been both received and cleared.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENT FEE
All payments made by credit card will incur a 3.5% fee from the processing company.
